Elderly
Concern
When the elders are feeding well, they will become healthy. This will reduce on the level of elderly mortality rate in Uganda.
Old age is said to be the golden years of a person’s life. After a lifetime of responsibilities and duties, old age is supposed to be the time to take it easy and enjoy the fruits of your labour. For many elders in Uganda, this isn’t the case. Many are abandoned due to domestic violence, poverty or death of family members due to chronic illnesses like HIV/AIDS.

Uganda has almost half of the people living below the poverty line. Especially women suffer from discrimination and male domination in the society: Early pregnancies, arranged marriages and school dropouts are the most common reasons that led the women into the poverty circle from which they are unable to escape on their own.

ACallForAll was designed to cater for the vulnerable youth and children including; youth with disabilities, orphans, needy, street kids and young girls whose rights have been abused by being forced into early marriage due to their parents’ failure to support them in education.

We take strong stands on controversial and at times unpopular causes, and we are willing to work in hostile and difficult environments.
ACallForAll aims at giving grants to groups and individuals that work on the issues we focus on—promoting justice, transparency, and open debate. We also want to engage in strategic human rights litigation and impact investing, while incubating new ideas and engaging directly with governments and policymakers through advocacy to advance positive change.
